The trailer for this week’s throwback Thursday is for Lee Tamahori’s 1997 film “The Edge”, starring Anthony Hopkins, Alec Baldwin, Elle Macpherson, and Harold Perrineau, Jr. The reason we’re throwing back is because some of the most enthralling pictures were produced back in the “good ol’ days”. So, here goes: I must admit that I only heard about this film several weeks ago and haven’t yet seen it. Based on lots of reviews, Anthony and Alec turn in stellar performances, which is to be expected. I haven’t seen much of either of their work but they just look like stellar actors to me. On another note, the plotline seems both intriguing and true based on the trailer’s voiceover. Man is perhaps the brutest of all beasts. We must protect ourselves and those we love (and hate) from others. We must protect ourselves from ourselves.
