Throwback Trailer Thursday #6

Considering we’re smack in the middle of Lover’s Month (if you celebrate February 14th that is ; ), the trailer for this week’s throwback Thursday is for another sweeping romance movie: Sydney Pollack’s 1985 film “Out of Africa”, starring Meryl Streep, Robert Redford, Klaus Maria Brandauer, Michael Kitchen, and Suzanna Hamilton. Out of Africa is inspired by the life and writings of Isak Dinesen, a Danish author, and it went on to win Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Music Score, and Best Writing Adapted Screenplay, among numerous other awards. Although I haven’t seen Out of Africa yet, I can say the film has a pretty darn beautiful soundtrack. Based on how much one of my dear acquaintances raves about this movie, and Meryl Streep’s performance in it especially, every time he sees it, I’ll bet a million dollars I don’t have that you’ll love it too. So, go forth and watch.
