The trailer for this week’s throwback Thursday is for Luc Jacquet’s Academy Award-winning 2005 French nature documentary film “March of the Penguins”, starring (who else?) penguins in their natural habitat. Morgan Freeman narrates March of the Penguins which follows a flock of emperor penguins “as they trek across the Antarctic on an annual journey that invokes just about every major life experience: from birth to death, from dating to mating, from comedy to tragedy, and from love to fighting for survival.” Although March of the Penguins received rave reviews from critics and its audience in general, I’ll say that March of the Penguins isn’t for everyone; however, if you love animals, learning about them, learning in general, or Morgan Freeman’s voice, most likely you’re one who will enjoy this film. I saw this docu when I was a bonafide kid & thought it was both enchanting & brilliant.
