So, after coming off directing the mainstream mega-hits Iron Man 1, 2, & 3, actor-director Jon Favreau goes and brings to life this “smallerstream” charming film of a film co-starring several of his close friends (I assume). Akin to the wonderful animated movie, Ratatouille, (I think) in several ways, Chef tells the simple story of a man who follows his dreams – not just any man though, but a chef man, the chef part being something many of us have dreamed of becoming. Chef is funny and entertaining and heartwarming and is garnering positive, emotion filled reviews from many (I read). I imagine Carl Casper’s story goes down just as well as one of his concocted meals would flow into the stomach.
