At long last, we get our first look at venerable director Christopher Nolan’s upcoming, highly secretive movie project “Interstellar”. Though Steven Spielberg was originally attached to direct it, I must admit that my anticipation for this movie stayed heightened once Nolan, of the Dark Knight trilogy fame, came on to direct. Major plot details for Interstellar are still under wraps in typical Nolan fashion, I suppose, but the footage looks interesting. Since theoretical physicist Kip Thorne and his scientific ideas were involved in the script writing process, I’ll wager by saying that Interstellar will be the stuff of high minded science fiction. Somehow, I get the feels that that line about humanity not needing any more engineers (or technology), but food, might soon manifest itself in our reality (shivers).

Release date: November 7, 2014

Interstellar chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.
